Life is good.

Getting to fall asleep (and wake up repeatedly in the night, oh teething child woes) to these two faces is pretty darn amazing. It's so crazy how fast life changes. One day you are single. Then you are dating. Then you are engaged. Living together. Married. Pregnant. A mommy.  That's how fast life moves. That's how quickly it can all change. And gosh am I happy about all of it.

I am lucky.
I am grateful.
I am blessed.

From this day Forward,
Mac-lucky in love.

Merry Christmas.

We had a nice, but illness-filled Christmas week.  Joel was the most giving this year- first passing his sickness and surprising me with an iPhone! ::happy dance::

I enjoyed a super solo night out (no babe or hub) at My work Christmas party. It was good food, good laughs and good company!

I also went ice skating with my gymnastics team. I love being active and ice skating is so much fun.  It made me want to get to the mountains for a snowboarding trip. ::hint hint::

My cousin's daughters jumping on the bed

My parents hosted Christmas eve and we had a house full of my crazy/awesome family and some friends we haven't seen in a while.  My childhood BFF even made a guest appearance with his mom!

Baby A and I were at our peak sick day on Christmas, so there was a lot of cuddling, nursing and sleeping -all of which would have been amazing if we felt better. We planned on going to Grammy's house for Christmas dinner, but we didn't make it. Joel was awesome enough to pick up a' take out' plate from Grammy's so we didn't have to miss out on the prime rib and cheesy potatoes! So delicious. And my cousin should honestly open up a bakery bc her cupcakes are like little mounds of heaven.

Little mister is a champion sitter now! He opened presents and played for a while on Christmas Morning.

Joel's parents came down for a few days and they brought two trips worth of presents! "the spirit of Grandma Shank lives on" through Mama Wenger. We enjoyed a few days-eating clam chowder, playing golf, hanging out with baby A.

We are so grateful for our families. We are so grateful for our lives.  We are lucky. We have celebrated our first Christmas as parents with our parents.

From this day forward,
Merry Mac

Coaching

Is exhausting.

Baby A is the team mascot on Wednesdays. I'm lucky to have a work environment (& boss) that allows for my little Mister to join me on my coaching adventures.

For now, I am the extreme attatchment parent- I wear him in my sleepy wrap while coaching (definitely a top 5 baby must have), but what am I gonna do when he crawls? Walks? Oh I don't even wanna think about that!

What would you do with your babe at a kid friendly work environment? Hopefully, I find a sitter by then...

From this day forward,

M

10 Baby A updates

  1.  He's still the cutest little mister in my house.
  2.  He's graduated to Medium Gdiapers! (which probably means he's gained some weight, double yay!)
  3. He's a roller and a scootch-er (is that even a word)
  4. He can grab and hold his toys.
  5. Everything you hand him ends up in his mouth. (and so do his hands, our fingers, my hair...)
  6. He didn't enjoy his first Halloween-we never made it out the door to visit the neighbors (but that's ok, we cuddled and watched football!)
  7. He witnessed his first Servite VS. Mater Dei game at Angel's stadium (and servite won!)
  8. At first rival game, Baby A got to sit next to an ORIGINAL Servite football team member!
  9. Coco and Baby A are becoming friends-she even lets him grab pet her!
  10. He laughs now and it rocks!

Fire it up Friars!

He was listening to the game while he rested his eyes.

my baby is the coolest

So freaking cool.
He laughed recently (on Halloween) and it was the coolest/happiest laugh i've ever heard. I definitely can get used to this little mister's giggles.

Family Day.

We heart mother's
Father and Son in the Sun
We started our Sunday by sleeping in (9:45 AM!) then we hung out & watched the Chargers game while getting ready for our family day! Hubby and I couldn't decide on where we wanted to go, so we just got in the car and drove around for a while.

We tried looking for a pumpkin patch but all we could find were pumpkin themed carnivals!? & what is up with the sinking Titanic ship blow up/bounce house/slide thing? That definitely doesn't seem inviting- Hey kids, come play on a sinking ship where hundreds of people died in the freezing cold water...

Anyways, we ended up at one of our favorite groceries stores, Mother's Market, for lunch. They have a great deli, salad bar and juice bar.  We shared a salad, some hummus & a juice.  AJ was an angel while we sat outside and enjoyed the sunny but cool weather.  After a diaper change in the trunk, we went for a little adventure to a hidden trail and shaded park.

I love spending time with my men! It was a great family bonding day & we got some cute photos of us dressed up! (totally, not planned at all... ::wink wink::). It was one of those days where I totally felt...normal.  Having a baby is becoming normal, I can do normal adult things...I don't want baby A to grow up into a crawling/walking toddler!

My favorite picture of all time.

He loved the fountain.
How do you like to spend you Sundays? What are some fun things you enjoy doing with your family?  Am I crazy for wanting a good Ol' fashioned pumpkin patch WITHOUT rides and petting Zoos?
